5 Tips On How To Get That Second Date After A Breakup

After a breakup, the usual problem of some guys is not whether they can get a date, but rather how they can impress enough to get a second date. It doesn’t have to be rocket science and mostly find that the more dates they go to, the better they become good at it. 1) Don’t be too early or too late. Being on time is an underrated virtue. First dates do not only show a bit of your character to your date; it can also make or break you. Arrive too late (like half an hour after the agreed time) and you’ll make her think the date’s not important enough for you to prepare for it. Arrive 30 minutes early, and she’ll get a little squirmed because of your over- eagerness.

2) Tell her about yourself. A first date is an opportunity for her to find out if there’s something about you that will interest her enough; to make her want to go out with you again. Don’t clam up and make single-word responses. Tell her about yourself but not too much that might scare her away.

3) Plan the date. Of course, if your date decides to do something else, you should adjust the plan and accommodate her choices. But don’t go unprepared. Don’t meet her without a specific plan, relying on her to make the decisions. The date should be spent on getting to know each other and hanging out, not on trying to find a good restaurant that doesn’t need a reservation.

4) Show an interest in her. Ask questions about her. Listen to her responses and ask follow up questions. Be interested in what she has to say. It will flatter her because odds are good she’s coming out of a relationship too and may feel as though men in general aren’t interested in what she has to say. Be the man who is interested and she’ll be much more willing to go on a second date with you.

5) Ask for a second date. Don’t wait for her to make the first move. Women do not usually initiate the second date, so it’s up to you. If you’re not comfortable asking her during the date, it’s always okay to do it after. Give her a call within the week of after your first date. Some might even appreciate this more as this can give you both time to think, whether you’re interested enough to see each other again.
