Does anyone know a good way to get new members to sign up for a free dating site?

I recently started a new dating site for divorced singles and single parents, but I am having a terrible time getting new members. I have tried all kinds of advertising and posting in forums. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried everything~Right now, I am offering a FREE 3month Gold Membership(a $45.00 value), and a referral credit of 1 month Free Gold Membership to any member who sends 2 new members that who sign up for the 3-month trial and email that they were referred by that member. I know once I get a larger database of members it won’t be so difficult but right now the website has been active for a month, and I’ve only got about 9 members.

I am not trying to solicit business for my website in any way, I am asking a serious question about how I should drive members to my site. There are no better people to ask about online dating sites, than people who are actually using them.
