Dating For Single Parents

Would it freak you out to find your child’s second grade teacher’s profile on an online dating site?

I’m a second grade teacher and really lonely. I have a hard time finding dates because I’m so shy, school keeps me busy and normally by the time evenings and weekends roll around I’m too tired to go out clubbing, dancing or to singles events. Mostly I just hang out with my girlfriends and family.

So I’ve been thinking about trying online dating the way some of my friends have done.

However, I started thinking, “What if some of my student’s parents see me on Match.com or Yahoo Personals? Can I get in trouble for that? Is it unprofessional? Will it freak them out?”

Just some FYI, my profile wouldn’t be all weird or sexually charged because all I’m looking for is a nice guy to go out with and become friends and possibly have a serious relationship. That’s all. I don’t want a one night stand, a kinky sex partner, a sugar daddy or anything like that.

I’m thinking of wearing a realistic looking wig that’s a different color than my own hair, stylish glasses (normally i wear contacts) and using an alias.

What do you guys think?

if someone was to start a single parent dating service, would anyone think that would be a good idea?

I personaly find it would be nice for one to meet someone that i know already has kids and has dealt with them.
what about having sigle parent dance, that is some way include the kids. Maybe a daycare on site so the parent will be near if anything happens. something of that nature what do you all think of that?

Question for anyone who has ever used a dating website, thought about using one, or would ever consider it ?

What kind of niche dating site would you like to see?

Just in case you don’t know what a niche is it would mean a site aimed at a specific group of people, for example:
single parent dating
bbw dating
pet lovers dating
muslim dating

so please give me some ideas on what you would like to see. Thanks!
